Generally good condition, slightly weakened spine, some foxing and wear on the covers. Inscription: “To Edmund. With love and all good wishes for xmas 1933 from uncle Wilfred and auntie Mona.” circa 1920.

A delightful narrative taken from Hugh’s experiences living in the valleys of Wales. Trasnalted from Welsh into English by E. Morgan Humphrey’s. It has a beautiful illustrated dust jacket, and a map of Bala, Corwen and Uwchaled. First edition. Dust jacket very fragile and torn, book underneath like new but for some very light foxing and slightly bumped corners. Inscription reads “at Bawb yn y VDEL Ladahg” – Probably Lanley or Landeg, Wlaes – “1848” possibly from author. (translation. To everyone in the VDEL Landeg). 1948.
